Healing with Me

All relationships have expectations, boundaries, dimensions of accountability and responsibility, roles, etc. As a LMFT and systemic trained therapist, I look at the relationship systems, the connection to the problem, and the context in-between. This view & degree differs from a LPC, which mostly focuses on individual counseling.
Do you find yourself asking curiously, “How is it when we argue, we both end up feeling rejected?”
If you’re ready to move past “my history” or “my partner’s history” is the problem (that can be part of the context),
I can show you how.
My therapy process is both interpersonal and intrapersonal: looking inward (intrapersonal) may help you to understand your connection and disconnection patterns AND relationally (interpersonally) how we are interacting with each other, with the problem, and how the system is relating to and/or impacted by other systems. We are biologically driven to be in safe enough connection with others. By looking at the feedback loops within the systems, we can see the whole story, not just the one inside. Then we work together to plant seeds for connection and invite repair so the system has a sense of: aliveness and curious engagement, desire and love, security and adventure, freedom and commitment.

Rebuild Trust. Rediscover Love.

A note from Kelsey:
I love people. I love relationships. I love supporting clients through difficult times. Some of the greatest work you can do for those relationships is the work you do on yourself! Therapy is not always an easy choice. I value the courage and strength it takes to decide that therapy is needed in your life. I also believe more is affecting what brings you to therapy than meets the eye. You are a part of a greater system that often puts added weight onto your shoulders. I invite you to learn the skills and knowledge to repair and enhance your life and relationships.
I’ve continued my growth post degree & licensure by integrating additional trainings and consultations in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and EMDR to address the impact left by traumatic events. Simply stated, I’m able to help your relationship conflicts within yourself and between others, whether we are examining past trauma and ruptures or in the here-and-now. Trauma work begins in the present, sometimes goes into the future, and addresses the past as you build capacity.
For pre-marital counseling, I’m able to address potential issues and future concerns through the use of the Prepare|Enrich course and their comprehensive assessment.
If you’re active law enforcement, I accept Blue Chip! I can offer up to 4 longer appointments to process single incidents through this program. We don’t have to focus on everything for you to find relief or to make a difference in your symptoms and/or relationships.
